Day 1
50 km car drive Trekking: 14 km, 4,5 hours
Arrival in Yerevan. Drive to the starting point of trekking program. Stop for rest and for breakfast near Tegher village. Sightseeing the Amberd castle, the familial property of Pahlavuni princes. Setting up camp for overnight stop. Supper.
     
Day2
Trekking: 13 km, 4 hours
Breakfast. Putting the camp down. Trekking along the beautiful gorge with numerous waterfalls and river rifts towards the lake Kari (3250 m. high, 9 m deep). Snacks next to the lake. Free time for acclimatization. Outing in the plateau. Overnight stop next to the lake.
     
Day 3
Trekking: 10 km, 7 hours
Breakfast. Putting the camp down. Trekking up via the southern peak of Mt. Aragats to the little ice field, located on the steep slope. Trekking up above the ice field and to the top of the southern peak of Mt. Aragats (3897 m) via streamer. Rest on the southern peak. Trekking down to the pass between the southern and western peaks. Trekking up the western peak of Mt. Aragats (4080 m). Trekking down to the mountain crater. Setting up the camp. Supper. Overnight stop.
     
Day 4
Trekking: 6 km, 4,5 hours
Breakfast. Trekking towards the pass between the western and northern peaks of Mt. Aragats. Trekking up the northern peak. The northern peak is oblong and has two peaks. The northern peak of Mt. Aragats (4090 m) is the highest point in Republic of Armenia. Trekking down to the camp. Dinner. Rest. Supper. Overnight stop.
     
Day 5
Trekking: 20 km, 6 hours
Breakfast. Trekking up the western peak of Mt. Aragats (3916 m). Trekking down to the camp. Sightseeing the waterfall at the entrance to the crater. The waterfall is 15 m high and has two cascades. The waterfall is not a large one, but it is marvelous during the spring thaw. Dinner and rest in the camp. Putting the camp down and trekking down to the valley of Gegharot River near Aragats village. Overnight stop next to a spring. Setting up the camp. Supper.
     
Day 6
50 km car driveTrekking: 12 km, 4 hours
Breakfast. Drive to Garni temple, former summer residence of Armenian kings. Sightseeing at the pagan temple of Mitre, the God of Sun (1st century A.D.). Trekking down to the Garni gorge, a unique natural monument, very impressive with its polyhedral basalt columns, originated by volcanic lava. Thanks to its exceptionally symmetric constitution, this cliff is known as basalt organ. Passing the medieval arched bridge (9 century). Trekking up to the Geghard Monastery (12-13 centuries), which is famous for its architecture and church, dug in the cliff. According to the legend, the spear with which one of the Roman legionaries pierced Jesus Christ on the cross, was kept here. Trekking on. Setting tent camp next to the river. Supper.
     
Day 7
45 km + 20 km car drive
Breakfast. Putting the camp down. Drive to St. Echmiadzin – spiritual and administrative center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit to the Mother See of Echmiadzin. Visit to St. Hripsime Church. Stopover at the ruins of Zvartnots Temple. Dinner. Transfer to Zvartnots Airport. Departure
