This affluent gallery was founded in 1921 and today has over 25000 paintings, presenting many cultures, mainly Armenian, Russian and European, and many centuries. The huge collection of paintings which are exhibited in six floors presents paintings from world known Armenian as well as non Armenian painters: Saryan, Kojoyan, Ayvazovski, Carzou, Zorian, Donatello, Russou and many others. Saryans vibrant colors and tasteful presentation of Armenian highland on his canvasses, Ayvazovski's daring images of the restless sea, matchless paintings of Russo and Carzou, paintings from many Russian artists and other treasures of world art reveal themselves as one descends from the top floor to the bottom through artful halls of this gallery.
